Following the announcement by PM this morning, all economic sectors ie manufacturing, mining, services except a few, and construction are allowed to operate effective 4 May 2020 based on normal operating capacity and operating hours.
Please refer to the website of National Security Council (Majlis Keselamatan Negara) for a list of activities that are disallowed. These activities are disallowed because the Government disallow large public gatherings, gatherings in enclosed spaces and activities that have close contact.
As for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that must be adhered by all economic sectors, please refer to the website of Majlis Keselamatan Negara as well.
Emphasis should be placed on the importance of compliance with the SOPs as failure to do so, may result in the increase of positive Covid-19 cases. If this happens, the Government would implement enforcement measures that may impact the normal operations of the economic activities.
The Government hopes all segments of the society including business sectors, would play our respective role in helping to contain the Covid-19 pandemic while allowing our economic sectors to restart.
