A whole-of-Government and whole-of-society approach has been adopted, which involves numerous Ministries and Government Agencies, State Governments, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), the private sector and members of the community to ensure the programme achieves its target.

Steve Ledzian, Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific, FireEye presented about the recent State of Cyber Security in 2021 report by FireEye which provides insights into the global outlook of cyber security in 2021, particularly Ransomware. He also explained what strategies organizations can utilize to deal with new types of Ransomware.
The second speaker, Alex Cheng, Associate Director, Red Team lead, PwC provided insight into the Malaysian landscape on cybersecurity. Alex went over some of the key highlights in the recently released Digital Trust Insights Survey 2021 by PwC.

The COVID -19 pandemic has forced many organisations to adopt remote working arrangements as an emergency measure to continue operating. However, many organisations may look to make remote working arrangements a permanent option given the potential cost, productivity and talent attraction benefits. While the potential for remote work varies across geographies, sectors and occupations, we estimate a potential 50 million jobs could switch to remote work across the ASEAN-6 countries.
US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) and Singapore-based KPMG commissioned a study in 2020 which envisions an integrated ASEAN market for electronic commerce (e-commerce). The full report of the study was presented to the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) in August 2020, to be further followed up for implementation in coordination with the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Electronic Commerce (ACCEC). To facilitate the discussion with the ACCEC and other relevant sectoral bodies in ASEAN, this summarized version of the report was developed, highlighting the key results of the study, including the suggested governance of the 12 proposed initiatives.

On 27th October 2020, Boston Scientific accepted the proposal to fund the new sarongs, towels, and dictionaries to the residents at the Orang Asli Settlements at Desa Ria, Gerik, Perak. In conjunction with the company’s Season of Giving, a collection of clothes, toys, stationery, and even reading materials is raised. Despite the pandemic, the employees at Bostan Scientific shown their generosity and kindness by donating the items for the need of the Orang Asli. All the items have been delivered to the settlements on 25th December 2020 in celebration of Christmas at the settlements.
