Malaysia’s trade performance maintained its upward movement in July 2021 as trade increased by 13% to RM180.96 billion compared to July 2020. This was the sixth consecutive month of double-digit growth since February 2021. Exports grew by 5% to RM97.32 billion, the 11th consecutive month of year-on-year (y-o-y) expansion since September 2020. Imports rose by 24% to RM83.64 billion while trade surplus contracted 45.8% to RM13.68 billion.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Prime Minister of Malaysia has announced his Cabinet line-up, a day after meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

The formation of the Cabinet was a re-formulation based on the current situation in order to maintain stability and uphold the interests of the “Malaysian Family”. Each Ministry must prove its performance within the first 100 days.

SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd, whose share price has jumped 120% year-to-date, has reported an improved top and bottom line growth for its first quarter ended June 30, 2021 (1QFY22), compared to a year ago.

Net profit increased 66.22% to RM11.98 million from RM7.21 million in 1QFY21, while revenue rose 18.6% to RM202.78 million from RM170.98 million.

The competition is open to all PAM-registered corporate architects and registration started from Aug 16. In this competition, participants are encouraged to address upcoming megatrends and future home predictions, while finding new ways of designing, building and innovating homes to close existing gaps in the market.
