Micron Technology teamed up with MyKasih Foundation and donated RM200,000 to help families rebuild their homes after the recent devastating floods.

“The community is no stranger to us (Micron) and with the recent flash flood in Malaysia, we want to do our part supporting relief efforts and helping the affected families and ease their burdens with the donation through MyKasih Foundation.

AMCHAM’s CEO Siobhan Das was invited to participate as a panelist at the CEO Series 2022 organized by REHDA Institute. She participated in the second panel discussion themed “Attracting strategic foreign investment into Malaysia: How can Malaysia differentiate itself regionally?”

Joining the panel discussion were Dato’ Arham Abdul Rahman, CEO, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Dato‘ Seri Koe Peng Kang, President, FIABCI Malaysia & Deputy President and COO, S P Setia Berhad, Mr. Oliver Roche, Chairman, EUROCHAM Malaysia, Datuk Tee Guan Pian, Director, Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) and Datuk Seri Dr Michael KC Yam, Chairman, InvestKL moderated the session.

Dato’ Arham Abdul Rahman started off the session by presenting some of Malaysia’s FDI achievements, emphasizing on the improved investments in the 1st – 3rd quarter of 2021, and cited the top FDI sources and some of the high quality projects. Topics discussed included Malaysia’s talent pool, digital technologies, the need to have a stable ecosystem for investment, regulations, the ratification of treaties such as the RCEP, and liveability. Panelists provided their input on how to address the issues and the way forward.
