The operation of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local Areas) Order 2020 which had been extended for the period from 1 April 2020 to 14 April 2020 by the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local Areas) (Extension of Operation) Order 2020 is further extended for a period from 15 April 2020 to 28 April 2020.
The Doc attached lists the latest rules and regulations for the third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO) concerning moving in and out of an infected area, movement conditions, movement to carry out works, and the penalties involved. The Doc also provides the latest list of essential items during the current MCO period.

NEW YORK, April 9, 2020 — Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) today announced important advances in the battle against the global COVID-19 pandemic.
As outlined in Pfizer’s five-point plan, the company has been collaborating across the healthcare innovation ecosystem ranging from large pharmaceutical companies to the smallest of biotech companies, from government agencies to academic institutions to address the COVID-19 global health care crisis. Researchers and scientists have been relentlessly working to develop an investigational antiviral compound to treat SARS-CoV-2, which causes the current pandemic of coronavirus infections (COVID-19), a vaccine to prevent infection as well as evaluating other therapies that have scientific potential to help infected patients fight the virus.
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) wishes to inform that the approval by MITI for organizations to operate during the first two phases of the Movement Control Order (MCO) will apply to the third phase as well.
