HONG KONG SAR, China, May 4, 2021 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is working with organizations around the world to deliver critical medical supplies and equipment to assist in the fight against COVID-19 in India.

An initial shipment of 1,000 critically needed oxygen concentrators onboard a FedEx aircraft was delivered to New Delhi today as part of a collective initiative by multinational companies. FedEx is also working with Direct Relief to move more than 1,800 pounds of medicine and personal protective equipment to India.

“As the impact of COVID-19 continues to grow in India, we are extremely grateful that our mission of connecting the world can bring relief to those most in need,” said Kawal Preet, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Region, FedEx Express. “This is a time to come together so we have mobilized our global network and our team members to help the communities in India where we live and work.”

FedEx continues to collaborate with the Government of India, healthcare customers, and the producers of critical medial aid items to provide support where it is needed most. FedEx has a long history of supporting relief efforts across the globe during times of crisis. The company has committed $4 million in cash and in-kind transportation support to help non-profits reach underserved communities with the COVID-19 vaccines around the world. Since the beginning of 2020, the company has transported more than 10,000 humanitarian aid shipments globally toward COVID-19 relief efforts.

Chief executive officer Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli said Malaysia’s digital economy development opens many opportunities in e-commerce and digital trade, enabling greater economic integration and robust innovation.

BMW Group AG has appointed Hans de Visser as the New Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group Malaysia.

De Visser will assume the role and responsibilities from the current Managing Director, Harald Hoelzl who will take on a new role at BMW Group AG.

De Visser brings with him over 29 years of experience in various functions at the BMW Group, having started as a Manager in Marketing Communications at BMW Motorrad, Munich. Before his current role in BMW Russia as the Marketing Director, de Visser served in various Sales and Marketing roles across several markets globally, including the Middle East, Central Eastern Europe, Spain as well as in the BMW Group headquarter in Munich.

The NASSP National Principal of the Year (POY) program convenes the year’s top principal from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and the U.S. Department of State Office of Overseas Schools to be honored at a four-day institute in Washington, D.C., September 17–22, 2021.

Mr Farrington joined ISKL in 2014 and has more than 20 years experience in leading instruction, assessment, and teacher supervision including positions as Middle School Principal and Director of Learning. He has been a trainer for the Principals’ Training Center and holds a Master’s degree in International Education, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree.
