AMCHAM would like cordially invite members to join Cleantech Solar, a member of AMCHAM and also a leader in rooftop solar development in Asia, and SEDA, the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia, for the upcoming program on “Rethinking Energy in the Future” on June 28, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel.
Under the impetus of our energetic new MESTECC Minister, the drive to develop renewable energy in Malaysia has never been greater. With the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) for Solar PV now beings thing of the past, the Sustainable Energy Development Authority(SEDA) Malaysia, together with Malaysia Energy Commission, has made numerous improvements to the net energy metering (NEM) scheme for the corporate sector, which makes Malaysia today one of the most favourable environments the growth of renewable energy (RE).
Companies in Malaysia not only can now self-generate renewable energy from onsite solar PV systems but NEM allows them to sell the potential excess energy back to the grid.
