Malaysia-U.S. Smart Cities Symposium

AMCHAM, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, invite you to participate in the first Malaysia-U.S. Smart Cities Symposium on Thursday, 20 June from 9.00am to 4.00pm (registration starts from 8:30am) at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
We are delighted to confirm that YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia, will provide the Keynote Address. The Honorable Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, has agreed to provide Opening Remarks alongside Mr. Eric Jones, Chief of Staff, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
This event will also welcome Smart City representatives from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Selangor, and Cyberjaya.
This symposium brings together policymakers from the Malaysian government with American government officials and business leaders. The program will provide a platform to share and discuss new insights, lessons learned, and technological advances that are urgently needed in order to manage Malaysian cities’ scarce resources and to make Smart City projects a reality. With advances in resource management, Big Data analytics, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, now is the time to engage with and learn from U.S. solution providers and Smart City officials around the country.
