APEC 2020: Looking Ahead To Malaysia

In 2020, Malaysia will host APEC and bringing together the critical voices of regional economic integration, economic and technical cooperation, and sustainable business environment amongst a host of other areas.

What do we, on the ground, need to understand about the mission and goals of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, what is being worked on from previous hosts, Peru (2016), Viet Nam (2017), PNG (2018) and currently, Chile. What roles can business play and what are the opportunities for companies operating in Malaysia?

Dr. Sta Maria will take us through the role of the APEC Secretariat, the priorities of Chile and the preparations for APEC post-2020; Ms. Whaley will provide an overview of the role of business in APEC, and what we at NCAPEC do to help the American business community engage in various APEC work streams and activities, including ABAC and the CEO Summit.
