2020 was a year filled with unprecedented disruptions and constant uncertainty. At the same time, the digital landscape became an essential tool for the continuity of business processes and livelihoods. With so much dependency on digital mediums, the subject of cyber security also became a rising concern, more so than ever. On 18 February, 2021, AMCHAM brought expert speakers for a webinar on the state of cybersecurity in 2021.
Steve Ledzian, Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific, FireEye presented about the recent State of Cyber Security in 2021 report by FireEye which provides insights into the global outlook of cyber security in 2021, particularly Ransomware. He also explained what strategies organizations can utilize to deal with new types of Ransomware.
The second speaker, Alex Cheng, Associate Director, Red Team lead, PwC provided insight into the Malaysian landscape on cybersecurity. Alex went over some of the key highlights in the recently released Digital Trust Insights Survey 2021 by PwC.
