Special parliamentary sitting on US tariffs set for May 5

A special parliamentary sitting will be held on May 5 to discuss the United States’ reciprocal tariffs.

This was confirmed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“Yes, yes…(there will be a special sitting),” he told reporters after attending the Prime Minister’s Office Hari Raya celebration today.

Yesterday, 21 April, Sin Chew Daily reported that the Parliament scheduled to convene a special session on May 5, to discuss the US reciprocal tariffs on trade partners.

The purpose of this special session is to enable members of parliament to debate the US tariff issue.
