AMCHAM regularly facilitates direct discussions between our member companies and visiting officials from Washington D.C. On May 17, we hosted Mr. Daniel Lee, Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Innovation and Intellectual Property, alongside representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia, to share perspectives on recent developments in Malaysia’s IPR landscape.

On May 24, AMCHAM was delighted to host Karim Raslan, political commentator and Chief Executive Officer of KRA Group, for an engaging discussion on the actions, merits, promises and missteps of the new ruling government coalition.

Karim shared his perspectives and opinions on how the outcome of the 14th General Election will impact businesses in Malaysia. The floor was then opened up questions providing members with the opportunity to have an open and candid discussion with Karim – no holds barred.
