Guideline on the Consideration Factors Taken into Account in Approving Operations for the Food Supply, e-Commerce, Healthcare and Medical Sectors

1.Critical operations throughout the retail business chain include E-commerce * throughout the MCO period

  • Manufacturers / Manufacturers / Wholesalers / Retailers (including packaging in each chain)
  • Distribution Center and warehouse
  • Delivery (stock, food delivery)
  • Call center and IT Support
  • Business outlet
  • Security

2.Company must minimize labor or close non-essential services and other operations of the company;

3.The Company is required to submit to KPDNHEP a list of names of persons authorized to work for inspection by the authorities at [email protected];

4.The operation of the company shall be in accordance with the directive of the hours of operation and such other directives issued by the Local Authority

KUALA LUMPUR: Supermax Corporation Berhad (Supermax) has committed to donate one million pieces of nitrile powder-free medical gloves.

They are to be distributed to Malaysian government hospitals, police stations and the healthcare industry’s first responders, to combat the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia.

Supermax is coordinating the logistics and distribution of the gloves with the National Disaster Management Agency of Malaysia (Nadma) to ensure that they reach first responders in the quickest possible time.

Supermax’s founder Datuk Seri Stanley Thai said the glove manufacturer would like to express its appreciation to all frontliners, particularly healthcare workers and the police, for their relentless efforts and diligence in containing the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Malaysian Customs Department has announced that Import Duties and Sales Tax for Face Masks will be exempted.  The Finance Ministry has also agreed and called for manufacturers of face masks to register in order to gain the exemptions. This move will take effect from 23rd of March, 2020 at 0001 hours until a later date is mentioned. Check out the attachment below to identify the category of face masks under the exemption.
