New Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing

Earlier this year, the Malaysian government introduced new requirements in minimum housing standards for workers under the Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing, Accommodation and Amenities Act 1990, effective 1 June 2020. 

This morning 16 December, AMCHAM held an exclusive webinar on the new standards and requirements from this Act. The briefing was conducted by Puan Suraiya Ch’ng Abdullah, Head of the Legal Unit at the Department for Labour Peninsular Malaysia.
