The Government through the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has taken proactive measures by having an engagement session with the business community on 17 March 2020, which was attended by industry associations and chambers of commerce such as the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and the Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM) which represented the country’s manufacturing industry.
