Latest Update by Deloitte: Entry Permission For Expatriates Pursuant To Malaysia Government’s Announcement On 19 June 2020

Following COVID-19 outbreak globally, Malaysia has closed its borders for foreigners under the Movement Control Order since 18 March 2020. The exceptions were for returning Malaysian, Diplomat, foreign spouse married to Malaysian, Permanent Resident and those who have obtained special approval/additional permission from the Director General of Malaysia Immigration Department.

According to the latest announcement released on 23 June 2020 (https://rpt.talentcorp.com.my/news/entry-permission-for-expatriates-as-announced-by-the-malaysiangovernment- on-19th-june-2020), starting 24 June 2020, the expatriates categories as follows are allowed to enter Malaysia without any additional permission from the Director General of Malaysia Immigration Department.
