The Job:

Major Responsibilities

• Engage with business leaders in AMCHAM member companies to develop thought leadership, professional development, and other programs in coordination

• Develop new program frameworks in coordination with internal and external stakeholders and partners (including governments, non-profit organizations, trade associations and educational institutions) that advance the strategic direction of the Chamber

• Manage corporate events and programming to ensure the Chamber continues to execute high-quality programs and corporate events in an efficient way

• Meet with prospective member companies as needed, in coordination the AMCHAM team member in Business Development, Membership etc. to inform them of the Chamber’s programs and value-proposition to member companies

• Help source and liaise with speakers, moderators, and subject matter experts for the Chamber’s major events, seminars, talks and training programs

• Develop, monitor, and track program metrics to assess the performance and relevance of our programming to AMCHAM members and prospective members in the business community

The Person

• Familiarity of the role of business chambers and/or trade associations will be an advantage

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing, managing and executing events and programs, and/or conducting research in the areas of trade, public policy, economic development and international relations

• Bachelor’s Degree in international relations, political science, economics, public policy or related discipline is required

• Advanced degree in international relations, public policy or related discipline is highly preferred

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively cultivate relationships with senior business leaders, and AMCHAM’s external stakeholders and partners in government, trade associations, business chambers, and academia

• Must be able to deal with a fast moving environment and have a tolerance for ambiguity

• Must have great work ethic, experience managing people, and be a great team player

• High proficiency in the English language is required
