Membership Services Executive

The American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) is a membership-based organization that serves as the leading international business association in Malaysia. Our mission is to promote a dynamic and competitive business environment for U.S. businesses in Malaysia.

We are looking for a Membership Services Executive who wants to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team and is able to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment. The Membership Services Executive will be responsible to provide administrative support to the Membership Services Team and assist in the smooth and efficient operations of the Chamber and our commitment to being the Voice of the U.S. Business in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chamber’s journey to strengthen and support the Chamber’s membership and its community.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records through the company’s CRM platform and other systems.
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistics to generate membership insights, consistently updating membership statistics.
  • Skilled in creating graphs and charts for comprehensive reporting to higher management.
  • Capable of analyzing & presenting data to derive meaningful membership trends and patterns.
  • Attend to membership inquiries via phone calls, emails, etc., and support internal team queries as they drive engagement in the membership of the Chamber.
  • Assist in delivering membership programs, research, and acquiring new members.
  • Conduct surveys, including annual membership satisfaction, CSR surveys, and membership engagement tracking.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct incompatibilities, and check and resolve inputs/outputs.
  • Maintain the Chamber’s privacy requirements for all data related to members and their operations.
  • Assist in yearly membership renewal & retention campaigns – including contacting members on renewals and updating finance tracking sheets.
  • Monitor and track engagement levels with members to ensure the Chamber is in active engagement and communication with the members.
  • Outreach to members, especially inactive members, to promote benefits and updates on events and invite them to deepen engagement.
  • Support collateral development and publications such as the Membership Directory, marketing collaterals, etc.
  • Undertake new assignments and support other team members on projects and events.
  • Carry out all the duties with complete discretion and a high regard for confidentiality. Any other duties relevant to the needs of the organization and as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an administrative support role; experience at a membership-based organization is a plus.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills; ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Forms, Docs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data software and analytics, survey software (SurveyMonkey, etc.), and Glue Up CRM systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Web and App development, AI tools, etc., is a plus.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to interact well with external stakeholders, i.e. members & vendors.
