Herbalife – Purpose Driven Nutrition
Herbalife – Purpose Driven Nutrition
Good health and well-being (UNSDG #3) are part of Herbalife Nutrition DNA. As a global nutrition company, we are providing access to good nutrition to communities around the world and an economic opportunity to those interested in improving their lives since 1980.
We have been on a mission to improve the nutritional habits of the world. At the grassroot level, our trained independent distributors provide one-on-one coaching and a supportive community that inspires customers to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle. Through our wide network of distributors, we have partnered governments and non-governmental organizations to help disseminate nutrition information, as well as other important health and wellness information.
Herbalife Nutrition plays an active role in promoting good health and well-being to everyone. Our Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB), made up of leading experts from around the world in the fields of nutrition and health, travelled extensively to countries where we operate in to educate and train the independent distributors. In Malaysia, we have at least two nutrition trainings a year conducted by these leading experts.
These NAB members also impart their knowledge on good nutrition, getting regular physical activity and leading a healthy lifestyle to the public through media and stakeholders’ engagements.
In addition to the NAB, our Herbalife Nutrition employees – Dr Kent Bradley, Vice President, Medical Affairs and Nutrition Education; Susan Bowerman, Senior Director, Worldwide Nutrition Education and Training; to name a few, also propagate the same purpose. They were also featured in numerous articles in both print and digital media in Malaysia.
The Company offers resources pertaining good health and well-being through our websites iamherbalifenutrition.com and discovergoodnutrition.com and they are accessible to all.
Through our Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF), we provide grants to charitable organizations under its Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program that provides children with the nourishment, care, and nutrition education they need to reach their full potential. HNF is a global non-profit foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world where every child has equal access to healthy nutrition. Today, we provide millions of dollars to fund more than 170 Casa Herbalife Nutrition partners in more than 61 countries bringing critical nutrition and nutrition education to nearly 120,000 children.
Herbalife Nutrition Malaysia has supported five local non-governmental organizations since 2006, having contributed about USD425,000 towards elevating the lives of children in need. Currently, we are proud to be working with four Casa Herbalife Nutrition partners – Good Samaritan Home (Klang, Selangor); Amitabha Charity Orphanage (Johor Bahru, Johor); Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Yatim/ Miskin Rukaiyah (Kajang, Selangor); and Yayasan Chow Kit (Kuala Lumpur) to care for the nutrition needs of close to 200 children and 50 urban poor families with children.
