Given the current heightened health situation regarding COVID-19, our Women and Leadership Forum on Tuesday, 24 March at 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at InterContinental  Kuala Lumpur has been POSTPONED

AMCHAM is pleased to invite you to our first half-day program for the year, AMCHAM’s Women and Leadership Forum, in conjunction with this year’s International Women’s Day 2020. The theme is “An equal world is an enabled world” and will be held as follows:

Date: Tuesday, March 24

Time: 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (registrations start at 8:30am)

Venue: InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

This program will feature leading speakers from a diverse range of private sector stakeholders, who will dive deep into what an equal world can deliver not just for businesses but for the productivity of the country as a whole. Speakers will also examine the government’s Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 which sets out to deliver a more sustainable economy for the future.

Program

There will be two panel discussions to share how public and private sector initiatives can help to enhance the participation of women in the workforce.

Panel One will look into how despite having very high inclusion rates in the ‘early’ parts of their journey, Malaysian women single peak compared to Japan’s double peak, and what it means to ensure a pipeline for inclusion.

Panel Two will look at how a company has been impacted by the increase of equality in the talent pool and how these impacts ripple through their business and economic life.
