Malaysia’s COVID-19 Bill: Potential Implications for Business

September 3, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In addressing the impact and aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Malaysian Government has introduced the Temporary Measures for Reducing the Impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Bill 2020 to cushion the effects felt by both individuals and businesses alike.

Following a consultation exercise with the public and industry, the Bill has now passed the third reading in Dewan Rakyat.

It is hoped that the Bill, as one of the various recovery measures taken by the government, will also act as support for the Prihatin stimulus packages and Malaysia’s economic recovery plans.

Join us on 3 September as we host three legal experts who have been closely monitoring developments on this Bill, and will discuss its potential practical and legal implications for business here in Malaysia.
