Getting To Know Your Net Worth

AMCHAM is starting a series of professional development seminars aimed at the young professionals within its membership.
This first seminar in the series “Getting To Know Your Net Worth” will be held on 4 March 2020 from 17:30 – 19:30 at AMCHAM Executive Office. (Registration starts at 17:00)
Aimed at young professionals under the age of 35, this seminar will delve into understanding personal finances, getting to know your net worth, and how do tax authorities check on the accuracy of a person’s reported income. The Net Worth Method is then commonly used by tax authorities. NWA is done which aims to show whether a tax payer has understated his income for tax purposes by way of quantifying his assets, liabilities and personal and private expenditure and comparing it with available funds over a predetermined number years.
The seminar will be brought to you by Mr. Soh Lian Seng, Partner, Tax Dispute Resolution (TDR) and a secondary speaker which will be announced soon.
