Briefing on Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)

AmCham recently held a briefing on Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) on August 18 at the AmCham Executive Office. Mr Geoffrey Tan, Managing Director – Asia Pacific, conducted the briefing. He shared an overview of OPIC and insights to how OPIC’s products and programs can support private sector investments in emerging markets. Established as an agency of the U.S. Government in 1971, OPIC operates on a self-sustanining basis at no net cost to American taxpayers. OPIC’s services are available for new and expanding business enterprises in more than 150 countires worldwide. To date, OPIC projects have generated $75 billion in U.S. exports and supported more than 276,000 American jobs.
