In conjunction with Deepavali Festive Cheer, Intel Malaysia GPA organised a donation drive to support 30 deserving families which were selected by the Penang North East District Welfare Department and 2 IIMGP non-profit organisations; Penang Shan Home and Batu Grace Orphanage Home, Kulim. The recipients received goodie bags, and new Punjabi clothing from Intel. A total of RM 11,779 was collected during the donation drive and was given out as money packets to the recipients.

Meanwhile, MDC Kulim held a Deepavali celebration on 1st November at Intel’s KM6 multipurpose hall. The event brought MDC employees together and helped them understand the traditional of Deepavali. There were dance performances by students from SJK(T) Bukit Mertajam and SJK (T) Kulim along with a performance by pop artist Tamilkumaran.

On another note, Intel also participated in the Penang International Science Fair (PISF) for the 7th year in a row at SPICE from 11th to 12th November. Intel’s strong presence was made possible by the wonderful support from volunteers in both PISF’s booth showcase and Students’ Workshop. Intel Makers showcased i-Holo G, Alexa Personal Home Assistant, Gymmy – The Smart Gym, Environmental Sensor Hub, and VR Cerebral Palsy Therapy using Intel Architecture. 1000, students were trained on how to do basic soldering and make their own LED badge. Intel Makers ran demos that showed leading-edge technologies.
