ConocoPhillips recognizes that the most effective corporate philanthropy can be achieved by entering into strategic partnerships with organizations that serve the community with lasting social impact. For this reason, we have partnered with the U.S Embassy in Malaysia on our signature CSR program, the Fulbright English Teaching Assistants program in Sabah. This program makes a difference in children’s education through invigorating student learning via skills development and educational activities.

ConocoPhillips also supports MyKasih ‘Love My School’, a student bursary program that provides assistance in the form of cashless bursaries for the purchase of schoolbooks and stationery, as well as food and drinks from the canteen.

Since 2006, ConocoPhillips has been awarding scholarships to Geology students from University Malaya and Petroleum Engineering students from University Teknologi Malaysia. The scholarship provides access and opportunities for high quality tertiary learning and education for our future leaders.

ConocoPhillips also contributes to the Sabah Society for the Deaf, where we support hearing impaired children. With ConocoPhillips’ support, a library was successfully set-up and additional resources were made available for the children.

Through its Employee Volunteer Program, ConocoPhillips employees gathered to beautify an Orang Asli (Indigenous People) School in Damansara Perdana, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan earlier this year. Volunteers painted the school corridors, decorated the classrooms, and helped to plant vegetables in the school’s edible garden.

In addition, ConocoPhillips continue to provide financial aid to the underprivileged in the day to day running of charities and homes.

ConocoPhillips Malaysia is grateful to play our part to fight the battle against COVID-19 by donating funds through MY AMCHAM CARES and to the Ministry of Health COVID-19 fund, as well as MERCY Malaysia COVID-19 relief efforts.
