The Cargill Cares Council in Malaysia are employee-led groups that implement community engagement activities to ensure that Cargill is committing its financial and human resources strategically in our communities. We identify important local issues, assess community needs, build effective relationships with community stakeholders and engage employees in community and volunteering efforts. We continue to work with our non-profit and NGO partners to implement various projects around food security, health and nutrition, education and environment. Our employees have consistently volunteered their time and energy for the benefit of our communities where we operate.

During this unprecedented times , Cargill supported the medical care service personnel at three COVID-19 designated hospitals with direct contribution of various medical PPE’s to combat the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and help curb the spread of the virus. In partnership with local communities, essential food relief and personal hygiene products were distributed to 300 needy families in Selangor during the Movement Control Order to help alleviate hunger. With the cooperation of the State Education Departments , we also donated face mask and sanitizers to 35 schools in Penang, Melaka , Selangor and Sabah for the safety of students.
