Plexus Malaysia Team Plants 500 Mangroves at Sungai Acheh

On 13 Jun 2026, the Plexus Malaysia team put their commitment to environmental sustainability into action by participating in a Mangrove Planting Volunteer Initiative at Sungai Acheh, Nibong Tebal, Penang. Organized in collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and the Penang Inshore Fishermen Welfare Association (PIFWA), the project focused on protecting local coastlines and supporting ecosystem health.

Key Highlights:

  • Ecosystem Support: Volunteers successfully planted 500 mangrove saplings, which will help safeguard coastal communities from erosion and support biodiversity.
  • Empowering Local Communities: The team supported PIFWANITA, the women’s activities group attached to PIFWA, by learning about their sustainable, nature-based food products like mangrove tea and jam.
  • Fun & Collaboration: The positive energy and strong collaboration among the volunteers turned the muddy field activity into a highly rewarding and engaging experience.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who dedicated their time to make this impactful initiative possible!
