Cathay Pacific New Destination Launch: Hong Kong – Adelaide (Starting 11 November 2025)
Cathay Pacific announces the return of non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Adelaide, commencing 11 November 2025. This winter seasonal service will operate three times weekly (Tue, Thu, Sat from HKG; Wed, Fri, Sun from ADL), reconnecting our home hub with South Australia and enhancing travel options across the Southwest Pacific and beyond.

Adelaide becomes their eighth destination in the region, alongside Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and seasonal services to Cairns and Christchurch. With this addition, Cathay Pacific will operate close to 90 return flights per week in the Southwest Pacific during the peak winter period. The route will be served by their Airbus A350-900, offering customers fully flat beds in Business, Premium Economy seating, and a comfortable Economy experience. The new service also supports cargo capacity needs, complementing Cathay Cargo’s freighter operations.
This launch is part of Cathay Pacific’s continued network expansion, which includes new destinations such as Hyderabad, Dallas, and Urumqi, with Rome, Munich, Brussels, and Adelaide to follow in 2025.
