MITI to issue Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin for US-Bound Shipments
On 5 May 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (“MITI”) announced that it will be the sole issuer of Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin (“NPCO”) for all exports to the United States (“US”) as from 6 May 2025.¹ Henceforth, business councils, chambers, and associations will no longer be authorised to issue NPCOs for the US market.
