Malaysia Aviation Group Announces Order for up to 60 Boeing 737 MAX Airplanes

On 21 March, Boeing and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) announced a strategic order of 18 Boeing 737-8 and 12 Boeing 737-10 jets— a major step in modernizing Malaysia Airlines’ fleet with more fuel-efficient aircraft.
With these advanced aircraft, Malaysia’s flag carrier will introduce premium lie-flat seating while catering to the rising air travel demand in one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets—Southeast Asia.
This order highlights Boeing’s longstanding partnership with Malaysia and reaffirms its commitment to advancing the nation’s aviation sector. Additionally, Dato’ Siobhan Das, AMCHAM’s CEO, remarked, “With the Boeing Composite Malaysia factory in Kedah making components for every aircraft type of the Boeing supply chain running through Malaysia, we feel very connected to the new announcement and Malaysia’s role in global value chains and supporting the U.S. aviation industry.”
Congratulations to Boeing on this incredible milestone!
