Igniting STEM Passion: Keysight’s KEYS2School Initiative 

In today’s rapidly evolving world, fostering a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among young minds is not just about education; it’s about shaping the future. Keysight, a leading technology company, understands this critical need and has taken proactive steps through its CSR initiative, KEYS2School, to cultivate a robust STEM talent pipeline.

Inspiring Tomorrow’s Innovators

KEYS2School, recently concluded with resounding success. Over 337 lower-secondary students from four high schools in Penang enthusiastically participated in this initiative. The program aimed not only to introduce students to the exciting world of STEM but also to inspire them to consider careers in these fields. Through interactive workshops, simulations of tech company environments, and engaging Q&A sessions, students got a firsthand glimpse into the real-world applications of STEM disciplines. 

Empowering Through Education

The impact of KEYS2School extends beyond mere exposure. A remarkable 77.5% of participating students expressed a keen interest in pursuing further education in STEM—a testament to the program’s effectiveness in igniting curiosity and ambition. What’s more encouraging is that 59.0% of these participants were female, underscoring Keysight’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields.

Community Collaboration and Support

None of this would have been possible without the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders. Keysight’s passionate and dedicated employees volunteered their time and expertise, contributing to the success of the program. Additionally, the support from the Penang State Education Department and the enthusiastic participation of partner schools—SMJK Heng Ee, SMK Bukit Jambul, SMK Convent Green Lane, and SMK St. Xavier—played pivotal roles in enriching the students’ learning experience.
