Sustainability Reporting and the Future of the Green Economy
Sustainability Reporting and the Future of the Green Economy
Mandatory sustainability disclosure requirements are rapidly emerging across the world. APEC economies are leading the adoption of global standards established by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and could set the benchmark on how sustainability disclosure is regulated globally. So far, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, and others are developing or implementing reporting requirements.
This one-hour webinar will discuss the importance of sustainability reporting to the green transition in the Asia-Pacific, review recent regulatory developments in the region, and discuss how a harmonized approach to sustainability disclosure can support business, investor, and sustainability goals. Insights from the webinar will inform the APEC Business Advisory Council’s recommendations to Finance Ministers and Leaders.
This event is free to attend, all participants will abide by the Chatham House Rule, and the meeting is closed to press. If you have questions, please contact Nicole Vukonich, Policy Director, NCAPEC.
