The Forum dialogue revolved around three critical discussions on public-private partnerships, digitization, & financing that are relevant to Malaysia’s healthcare future, and how everyone can play a part in steering progress.
In the first panel, we explored how the public and private sectors can work together to transform the healthcare delivery system, particularly in addressing the challenges posed by an aging society and non communicable diseases (NCDs). Collaboration is vital to create a patient-centric system that taps into the private sector’s resources.
The second panel delved into how healthcare digitization can be posed as an opportunity to improve healthcare delivery. In consideration to the technological advancements in the industry, we also discussed challenges within data governance and technical expertise.
In the third panel, the panel highlighted that innovations in healthcare financing must be necessary to ensure sustainable and equitable access to healthcare in Malaysia as Malaysians seek an affordable, accessible healthcare system with a patient-centric approach. Supporting innovations in healthcare financing is essential to achieve sustainability and equitable access.
