Impact of Amendments to the Employment Act

The amendments to the Employment Act will be in effect beginning September 1, 2022. On 13 July, AMCHAM’s Human Capital Committee organized a webinar on the impact of the act to employers and employees alike.

Hon Cheong Yong, Partner at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. presented and provided clarity on the key amendments to the act. Mei Quin Chen, Senior Employment Counsel, Malaysia, Employment & Labor Legal at Intel Technology Sdn. Bhd. moderated the session, taking in questions and concerns from the attendees.
