Briefing Session on Supporting U.S. Business: Johor’s Ecosystem
On 6 July, AMCHAM held a briefing in Johor with representatives from the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) and Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Singapore on the ecosystem for U.S. business in Johor. On his very first trip to Johor, HE Brian McFeeters, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, attended this briefing.
Vinothan Tulisinathzan, Director, MIDA Singapore, presented on the process of doing business in Johor, what incentives are available and how MIDA facilitates and supports the business. Our second presenter, Dato’ Dr Badrul Hisham Kassim, CEO, IRDA, showcased IRDA’s role in planning, promoting and facilitating businesses in Johor.
This was a very informative session for any company looking to do business in Johor. Attendees were able to raise questions during the Q&A section. Thank you to both of our guest speakers for sharing valuable insights with us. Special thanks to our event partners – Flex Malaysia, Micron Memory, Rapiscan Systems, Samtec Asia Pacific (M) Sdn Bhd, Seagate Technology, and STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd for supporting this event.
