The Ministry of transportation is committed to ensuring the continuity of the logistics industry for trade vehicles that cross the border of Malaysia – Singapore for the sake of the people and the country
The Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) takes note the issue of commercial vehicles with expired road tax that cannot cross the Malaysia-Singapore border for trading activities following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO). Although the Road Transport Department of Malaysia (RTD) service counter is closed for public safety and the announcement of renewal exemption by the authority of the Minister of Transport has been made, there are a number of logistics operators that still required a valid road tax to obtain their monthly permit issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore to enter Singapore.
