Malaysia has emerged with one of the strongest local ecosystems in the region\, positioning it well to lead in green transition initiatives. \nBased on 2019 figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration\, approximate energy resources consumed in Malaysia are as follows: petroleum 37%\, natural gas 36%\, coal 21%\, and renewables 6%. \nThis Clean Tech Forum provides a platform for U.S. and Malaysian companies\, government agencies\, and organizations to explore the role that new technology and innovation\, existing initiatives\, and government policy can have in supporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction goals. \nThese steps can enhance Malaysia’s attractiveness for inbound investment\, strengthen supply chains\, increase trade\, and inform next steps for reaching net zero targets\, including through the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).
