DESCRIPTION:AMCHAM’s GATE Program had a successful session 5 earlier this week. The final session for the GATE program will be on Monday August 2nd. This final session will be on Social Media & Media Literacy: Managing Disinformation featuring Nararya Soeprapto\, Global Government Relations & Public Policy Senior Director at Procter & Gamble; Dr Ross Tapsell\, Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University (ANU); Indira Nair\, Managing Partner/Communications Coach at Influence360; Wathshlah Naidu\, Executive Director of Center for Independent Journalism; and Zikri Kamarulzaman\, Assistant Editor at Malaysiakini. \nIn an information environment where disinformation is commonplace\, this session will enable participants to learn what exactly is fake news and how they can differentiate what is true and what is fake. Participants will also get to learn from our expert panelists on how fake news comes to be\, how it affects businesses and how businesses can manage it.  \nAMCHAM would like to thank both our event partners – U.S. Embassy & Paypal for supporting this program. \nHave a great weekend and we’ll see you on Monday!
