SUMMARY:American Speaker Series #01 - CyberSecurity for General Managers (KL)
DESCRIPTION:AMCHAM is delighted to be partnering with the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia and the US-ASEAN Business Council to bring you the “American Speaker Series”. \nThe American Speaker Series responds to the call of the Malaysian Government to expand the knowledge and experience of the country’s business\, government and civil society sectors in line with Malaysia’s TN50 program. With a focus on new technologies (and the infrastructure and policies that support them)\, we will welcome a range of U.S.-based subject matter experts from industry and academia to share their insights on how businesses and governments alike can harness the potential of innovation to secure greater socio-economic benefits. \nFor this launch event\, we welcome Dr. Rajni Goel\, an Information Systems and Cyber-Security Professor from the School of Business of Howard University in Washington D.C. Dr. Goel has extensive experience in developing cybersecurity curriculums in both the U.S. and India. \nCybersecurity can be a daunting area for those without a technical background and this Breakfast Talk is aimed to guide general managers on what you can be doing to ensure that your company’s information is protected. This topic is becoming ever more important as we transition towards a more interconnected and interdependent economy. \nThis Breakfast Talk\, hosted at the AMCHAM Executive Office in KL Sentral\, is aimed at our member companies as well as government officials\, think tanks and academia. Attendance is free\, on a first-come first-served basis and a light breakfast will be served. \nFor more details\, please contact Elyna at elyna@amcham.com.my
