SUMMARY:Energy Outlook - A View to 2040
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join AMCHAM as Lynne D Taschner\, Energy Advisor\, Exxon Mobil Corporation\, Dallas\, U.S.A. presents the ExxonMobil Energy Outlook: A View to 2040 on Wednesday\, March 14 from 12.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur. Ms. Taschner\, who is based in Dallas\, is a principal contributor to ExxonMobil’s long-term global energy outlook\, including the identification of potential implications for energy markets and the corporation’s strategic plans. \nThe Outlook for Energy is ExxonMobil’s global view of energy demand and supply through 2040. We use the data and findings to help inform our long-term strategies and investment plans. It also highlights the dual challenge of ensuring the world has access to affordable and reliable energy supplies to support prosperity while reducing environmental impacts – including the risks of climate change. We share the Outlook with the public to help promote a better understanding of the issues shaping the world’s energy needs. \nMany uncertainties exist concerning the future of energy demand and supply\, including potential actions that societies may take to address the risks of climate change. Considerable work has been done in the scientific community to explore potential energy transformation pathways. The 2018 Outlook for Energy includes consideration of the impact on future energy demand from an analysis of multiple lower-carbon scenarios published by the Stanford University Energy Modeling Forum. \nSeats are limited so please register early. \nFor more information\, kindly contact Ms Elyna Ngu at elyna@amcham.com.my
