SUMMARY:High Tea and Networking: Secretaries Week
DESCRIPTION:As the pulse of an organization\, secretaries and administrative professionals successfully support the daily operations of their respective organization. In honor of their work\, AMCHAM hosted the annual Executive Secretaries & Administrative Professionals High-Tea Dialogue Session on 14 April 2015 at the Connexion@Nexus venue in Bangsar South. \nMs. Cymantha Sothiar\, Personal Assistant & Communications to the Group CEO’s Office of Tune Hotels\, led the first session on project management skills and how PA’s can execute successful corporate events. Following her session\, Ms. Pamela Wigglesworth\, the Managing Director of Experential\, discussed methods to become an influential and a confident communicator. Francois Bogacz from Cultural Impact\, further discussed with participants on how intercultural skills can help prevent conflict and maximize collaboration.\nFollowing the sessions\, the event hosted a final panel discussion with panelists\, Ms. Jade Lai Ming Nyit\, Business Analyst from American Express Malaysia and\, Ms. Hafizureen Mohd Hafiz\, Personal Assistant to the GM of Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur. DESCRIPTION:Kuala Lumpur – More than 15 guests attended the briefing on Principal Hub by InvestKL and PwC. Speakers Jagdev Singh\, Senior Executive Director at PwC\, and Daniel Teng\, Senior Director of Strategy\, Advisory & Services at InvestKL\, discussed Malaysia’s recent announcement of the Principal Hub incentive that aims to develop a regional hub in Kuala Lumpur by attracting some of the world’s best firms to the nation’s capital. \nThe new incentives\, which will be implemented on 1 May 2015\, was developed in recognition of the changing regional headquarters trends\, global supply chain models\, and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). It aims to increase Malaysia’s competitiveness as a regional base and allows for improved operations and efficiency at reduced cost for MNCs seeking to establish headquarters in ASEAN.
