DESCRIPTION:As countries worldwide prepare to re-open their economies\, international travel is poised to resume. However\, in the absence of globally accepted vaccine regulations and passports\, would-be travelers need to navigate a complex and rapidly changing patchwork of vaccine\, testing and quarantine requirements\, specific to each destination. At the same time\, tourism industry players face the challenge of restarting in a vastly changed operational environment. \nJoin the AmChams of the Asia Pacific (AAP) for a regional conference on the immediate issues facing international travel. Our three distinguished speakers include: \n\nAlfredo Montufar Helu\, The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network\, Beijing will present EIU’s latest vaccination rollout forecasts\, and talk about the economic\, political and geopolitical implications from growing vaccine inequity across the world.\nVinoop Goel\, International Air Transport Association (IATA). Covid-19 has had an unprecedented and devastating impact on aviation. IATA will provide an overview of the current state of the airline industry along with an short to longer term outlook. This session will also cover some of the steps taken to restart the industry and key priorities for governments and aviation stakeholders to ensure a recovery to pre-Covid-19 levels.\nAdh T.
