Ambassador Kamala Lakhdhir, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia Meets with Members of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26, 2017 – U.S. Ambassador, Kamala Lakhdhir, had an opportunity to meet with members of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) at the official residence in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

Present at the event was Sanjeev Nanavati, President of AMCHAM together with some of the the Chamber’s Governors, Datuk Tim Garland, Capital Markets Communications Consultant at TBWA Malaysia and Vice President of AMCHAM, along with  See Kok Yew, Chairman, ExxonMobil, Anushia Soosaipillai, Senior Executive Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia, and Chin Keat Chyuan, CEO, Johnson & Johnson.

Exclusive to members, this event allowed the new Ambassador to meet with the American business community and interact with an array of different industries. AMCHAM  was delighted to have over 30 AMCHAM member companies represented at the event.

“AMCHAM plays an important role for American business as it provides a platform for our members to interact regularly with each other at programs like this and, in other settings, to raise issues impacting their business” said Siobhan Das, AMCHAM’s Executive Director.  The Chamber works continuously to support our members’ operations in the country and to showcase the benefits of members companies investing in Malaysia’s future.
