April kicked off with a quick visit to AMCHAM by our Malaysian Ambassador to the U.S.; H.E. Ambassador Zulhasan Rafique met with AMCHAM’s Board and discussed areas that he is working on in the U.S. especially around supporting Malaysian students and bringing that talent back to work at MNCs here and the need to continue to build on what is a strong U.S.-Malaysian relationship.
Meanwhile on the ground in Malaysia, AMCHAM continues its work with the Malaysian government with discussions on GST rules and guidelines and welcomes their collaborative outreach. For Members who are still experiencing issues with the Foreign Exchange Administration Rule and Withholding Tax, please contact us at email@example.com so that we can share pertinent aspects with you directly. As the issues are quite complex and often unique to your business model we at AMCHAM, from the learnings from our engagement, will try and provide some answers.
